Food Addiction Clinical Hypnosis
There are many types of food addiction but it is rarely an addiction to good food. It is usually to fast food or treats such as chocolate. There is nothing wrong with fast food or chocolate in moderation but it should be seen as a treat and not a food group. These addictions like most addictions are habits of the mind; bad habits that can cause health problems. The habit comes from the want for the food type not the food type itself. The more we want it the more we feel we are lacking it. This subconscious habit creates a fear of lacking something and a craving begins. We satisfy the craving when we get what we want.
We don’t work to eliminate the foods from your diet; it is the problem of why diets don’t work. By denying yourself something you will want it even more. There is nothing wrong with a small piece of chocolate or fast food now and again, but these need to be seen as a treat, not a food group. The diet cycle of deny, binge then guilt is a vicious circle. We work to change habit patterns of wanting and establishing good nutritional eating habits.
Even the slimmest and healthiest of us can handle a piece of chocolate or some fast food now and again without any consequences to our health and well being.
We work to make sure healthy food is a priority in your life and the treats are just that; occasional treats.
Our program of six weekly hypnotherapy sessions coupled with a set of recordings to listen to each day works at a subconscious level; this is where the habit is formed and needs to be resolved.
