Drug Addiction Counselling & Clinical Hypnosis
No one starts out wanting to be addicted to drugs. They just develop a habit, a drug habit. It usually starts as a party drug or experimentation to explore a different experience. Often it comes from peer pressure and the need to feel they fit in. Regardless of how it starts it will usually end badly. People start to lose themselves as the drugs take over. This can cause a massive problem with money and fractured relationships.
Australia topped global list for recreational drug use in the United Nations 2014 world drug report and it is estimated that 10% of the working age population of Australia regularly use marijuana. We lead the world in the use of party drugs, number one in the use of ecstasy, number three in methamphetamines and fourth in cocaine use.
The problem with drugs use is that you are always chasing that next high and it is never as good as that first high. This can lead to overdose and death. The problem is also that when you get high you will always have to come down again. The other problem is you never really know what you are taking. You are gambling your life with every hit. There is an increase now in testing for drugs in the workplace and on the roads and the cost and chances of being caught is greater than ever before.
Our program aims at changing the habits of the mind with a hypnotherapy session each week and a refocus of the mind to get high on the adventure of life: The only true natural high. We also use hypnosis recordings and recordings that can be listened to in a car to use between sessions.
We are covered by some health funds.
